Create your own calming bottle

Calming glitter jar is proven mindfulness tool to calm kids and adults.

You won't need a lot of ingredients and you can use the color and the bottle or jar you want. Sensory bottles will help kids to calm down, find their focus back on the moment driving them away from unwanted or overwhelming thoughts and emotions. It is one of our favorite calming tool, and so easy to make too.

What you will need:

  • Small jar or bottle with lid
  • Clear glue
  • Glitter
  • A few drops of food coloring
  • Hot water
  • A whisk or a stick

Easy steps:

  1. Pour the glue (20%) and hot water (80%)  into the jar and mix.
  2. Add some glitter - 2 or 3 tablespoons with a combination of chunky and finer glitter.
  3. Add a drop or two of food coloring.
  4. Put the lid on and give it a good shake
  5. Let it cool without the lid.

Shake the bottle gently and watch the magic. Having one calming bottle or jar on your kid's desk or in a calming/ reset corner is an easy and brilliant idea to give your little one a tool to calm himself down.

Extra option: Lava bottle - the ultimate sensory bottle

    2. Fill your bottle 3/4 of the way from the top with vegetable oil
